Apple Butter Spread (2 pints) recipe |
This Apple Butter tastes like apple pie (from a jar) slathered on toast.
This apple butter spread truly tastes that good. I've posted it in two sizes for you. A batch for small slow cookers, and/or a bigger batch for larger ones.

Canning: Cover and process pints and half-pint jars in a boiling water bath for 15 minutes.

The link works! And I love apple butter! I like it on hot rolls, but also in cakes. It's really good to drop 1/2 cup or a cup into any kind of cake--it gives it a more complex flavor. I like it best in chocolate cake, and vanilla.
