Jasmine Rice: Best (Rice Cooker Recipe)

Updated:

A rice cooker is a must for tender brown rice, plus my SECRET ingredient for great jasmine rice is using (2:1) water to canned coconut milk, which is just enough that it doesn't taste all coconutty, and not that that's bad, because I love coconut! Instead, it's just enough so the rice has a beautiful texture, it's fluffy, and tastes delightful. It's the BEST!

Best Jasmine Rice
Yield: 3 cups

A rice cooker makes perfect for this recipe!
1 1/2 cups Jasmine rice, uncooked
2 cups water
1 cup coconut milk
1 Tbsp honey

Combine ingredients in a rice cooker, or covered 2-qt heavy saucepan.

Steam rice for about 15 minutes. Remove from heat, fluff with a fork and recover for 5 minutes.

Warmly,
Sharon Anne
